Plasma cutting is a process that cuts through electrically conductive materials by means of an accelerated jet of hot plasma. Typical materials cut by this process include steel, stainless steels and aluminum, although other conductive metals may be cut as well.
Oxy-Fuel cutting is a process that pre-melts the material to its kindling temperature and then directs a stream of oxygen into the cutting path, burning the metal into metal oxide that flows out of the cut path as slag.
